Opening A Secure Encrypted Email from Jumpstart

You’ve received an email from Jumpstart that starts with the word “SECURE” in the subject line and has an attachment.

What is it and how do you open it? To ensure your MyJstart account stays secure we use encrypted messages to send out temporary passwords to members. These messages are only viewable to the person who sent it and the person who received it. To open these messages, it is important that you use a laptop or desktop computer for the best experience, we have tested this on mobile and have found the experience to be cumbersome and not ideal.

First,  open the message:

Then, download the attachment:

Depending on your browser, the next step to open the message may look a little different, but the process is the same.

Once opened you’ll get a screen that looks like the image below. Click on “Use a one-time passcode”:

And then you will see the following:

Check your email, and find and enter the access code.

Be sure to click the Continue button in the above image.

At this point, you’ll see the message and its content:
